Back in January I was lucky enough to second shoot former Bath and England rugby player Duncan Bell and Kathryn’s wedding for my buddy Paula Broome. Being a retired rugby player who once played the same position as Duncan, this was pretty exciting for me and when I saw the venue we had to work with, the excitement levels went up another notch. Old Down Manor near Bristol is a perfect setting for a wedding with stunning views of the Severn valley and the Black Mountains beyond which looked incredible in the winter sunshine. The house is perfect mix of classically English architecture and clean, crisp, modern interior design. Duncan and Kathryn had done a great job of planning some lovely details in a colourful rainbow theme.
To sum up, the whole day was a joy to shoot.
A huge thank you to Paula Broome for having me along on the day and allowing me to post these shots. I’d also like to mention Emma Woodhouse who was there documenting the day and providing a literary record. This was the first time I’ve come across anyone providing this kind of service and I think it’s a great idea. Lastly a big thank you to Duncan and Kathryn for being so welcoming, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
