“Thank you for doing such a brilliant job on our wedding day, it was a pleasure to have you there with us. Many of our guests have said what a good job you did and what a top chap you are, we agree! Love the slideshow, it’s superb. We’ve watched it 4 times now and Andrea has cried every time (with happiness!). Absolutely love the way it tells the story and it’s pleasing to see people enjoying themselves. We also love that you captured the bits we missed.
Can’t thank you enough.
Andy & Andrea”
Andrea and Andy’s wedding at Hyde Barn in Stow-on-the-Wold was just perfect. Two of the loveliest people you’d ever wish to meet celebrating their love with an equally lovely group and family and friends. From the moment I arrive the night before to the moment I left I couldn’t have felt more welcome. The Cotswolds is such a beautiful location for a wedding, the countryside is just epic. On the day of the wedding we got lucky with a cold but beautifully sunny winter’s day providing some amazing light. Being close to Christmas the staff at Hyde Barn had obviously been hard at work making the reception rooms and grounds feel festive. I was really glad we ventured out into the cold night to make the most of the fairy lights and get the photo above.
Andrea got ready at their home in nearby Oxhill with Andrew just up the road at his family home. This gave me the opportunity to float between the two during the preparation phase of the day. It’s always a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to cover both the girls and guys getting ready. A fleet of Landrovers (Andrea and Andy are big Landrover fans) were assembled to whisk everyone to Hyde Barn for the ceremony and reception. The evening started with a Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-lee) which is a tradition celtic dance. I’d never seen let alone photographed a Ceilidh before but wow, what a way to get everyone dancing!
Thank you so much not just to Andrea and Andy for making me feel so welcome but to all their family and friends too. And of course to all the staff at Hyde Barn for looking after me so well.
Enough words, here are the photos.
