Me and Patrick (well, I’ve always called him Paddy) have been mates for years. His Dad used to coach my rugby team when I was a kid and I’ve played plenty of rugby with both him and his brother. He’s also a keen photographer himself so I was chuffed to bit when he and his finance Jo got in touch and asked me to be their wedding photographer.
For their engagement shoot we headed out to the fields around their house in Rochford. What looked to be a bit of a grey evening turned out to be pretty epic when the clouds broke to reveal a stunning sunset. After a slightly frantic car trip to get to the best spot for the sky we ended up with some creative portraits in a yellow rapeseed field. You just never know with the weather in this country, it can change so quickly.
Can’t wait to head back to Red Brick Barn for their wedding next month. I’m becoming a bit of a regular there. Here are some of my favourites from the shoot.
