I first met Laura and Rich at a friend’s wedding last year where they told me about their wedding at Newland Hall near Chelmsford. Fortunately for me they then chose to book me as their photographer.
Both Laura and Rich were getting ready at their respective family homes in Benfleet which allowed me photograph the preparations of both as they were close together. The moment of the morning had to be the look on Rich’s face when Laura surprised him with a classic VW Camper Van for him and the guys to travel in style. Camper Vans have a special place in Rich’s heart as he has fond memories of childhood holidays in his Grandparents’ VW. He was chuffed to bits to see this one arrive.
The ceremony at All Saints’ Church in East Hanningfield was fantastic. The ministers there could not have been better. It’s a classically English church in a beautiful village. After the church it was off to Newland Hall for the reception where the grounds and marquee looked perfect on the lovely spring day we were having. Laura and Rich’s first dance was a particular highlight as they had practiced a routine including lifts that the dancers of Strictly Come Dancing would be proud of. This was then surpassed by Laura and her Dad performing another routine to Cheryl Cole’s “Fight for This Love”. Epic stuff all three of you!
Congratulations Laura and Rich, thank you for having me. Enough words now, here are the photos.
