Best Wedding Photography of 2016

I’ll start with an admission. Yes, I’ve been terrible at blogging. Ridiculously terrible. So what better way to put an end to the long blogging drought than to share a collection of my best wedding photography of 2016. Well, I say best because that’s what these posts are generally known as. But more accurately this is a collection of my favourite wedding images taken in 2016. I started with a set of 1300 photos and finally whittled it down to 150. These are the ones that make me feel the most, these are the ones I’m most proud of.

I’m proud of them because they represent a rediscovery and realisation of why I love shooting weddings so much. Moments and story telling. Yes, I still love creating cool portraits for my couples but the emphasis of this year’s collection is more about the documentary moments and less about the portraits.

The highlight of my photographic year outside of wedding was another awesome street photography trip to Barcelona with The 8 Street. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the images we came back with from this trip and the reaction we’ve had to them blew us away. Getting to spend this time with such talented group of photographers has really pushed me to continually develop my work. I’m lucky to have such a great group of friends to work with.
