I was so excited when when Kim and Scott booked me as their festival wedding photographer. Not only were they planning a relaxed day outdoors in Kim’s parent’s garden, but British music legends Chas and Dave were going to be their wedding band! I love Chas and Dave. Everyone was at the house early, putting the finishing touches to the bell tents and tipis and getting ready together. The party mood started right then. It was a day full of smiles and laughter, from their ceremony in a lovely church in Coggeshall, Essex, right through to full on party in the evening. Chas and Dave were on top form playing all of their classics. They were ably supported by the brilliant Paddy at Disco Wed, lovely to see you again mate.
There was so much going on all day, from my point of view this wedding had everything I love to shoot. The party mood allowed everyone to relax and I could created the layered, story telling frames my couples book me for. It was clear to me that Kim and Scott have a wonderful group of family and friends who not just know how to have a proper party but love them a lot. Tipi and festival weddings are a great option for any couple looking to create a wedding day styled to suit their personalities. You can really make it your own and have exactly what you want.
A huge congratulations to Kim and Scott. Thank you so much for allowing me to document your wedding and welcoming me so warmly into your day. If you’re looking for a festival wedding photographer I’d love to hear from you. While you’re here I’d love it if you could check out some more of my work. Here is a selection of my favourite images from Kim and Scott’s day.
Some lovely emotions caught, well done Matthew.
